Hillary Clinton opened up on how she intends to fight the ISIS and unfolds the controversies on her Wall Street ties. She spoke to Charlie Rose in the program CBS This Morning. Clinton in accordance with the president’s ideologies does not see any need to send American troops to wage a war on Syria and Iraq. She added that the recommendations of Republicans sending a battalion of troops to fight ISIS was not a smart move as it can give them an opportunity to engage in new recruitment opportunities.
Clinton called the terrorist group as a barbaric enemy that has now gained more money and territorial supremacy, and they need to be combated from varied fronts like air, ground and cyberspace. The former secretary of state said that Russia paid a big price by going after their jet was downed in Sinai Peninsula in Egypt. The ISIS claimed responsibility for this act. Her strategy also included a no fly zone over Northern Syria clearly informing the Russian about the zone, she added. Clinton made it clear that they need not participate, but they should clearly be aware that it was a safe ground zone.
The presidential candidate also made it clear that there should be continuous dialogue with Libya where ISIS is trying to make its presence. She said that there is a need to join hands together to eliminate ISIS. Reiterating that it cannot be done alone, she said that armed groups not associated with ISIS are fighting to gain power in Libya, and these groups have to form a loose confederation to eliminate ISIS and gain a stronghold in the region.
